James McAvoy

James is a brilliant Scottish actor who was born in 1979 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He lived in Scotsoun till the age of seven when he went to live with his grandparents in Drumchapel after his parents divorced. He graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2000. James plays the guitar, is a Grade 4 fencer, has a good ear for accents and has a strong, high baritone singing voice. He's been living in London (UK) since 2000.

I think I know a few people around here who like this guy.... cant believe that I never got round to starting this thread.

I pretty much love all the films I've seen him in so far, from the one I'm watching now (Starter For Ten) to Atonement. I think he is an amazing actor who is truly talented and I love him :-p

I think the main thing I like about James is that he is very real. He is so down to earth and his acting is so brilliant - there are so many different roles that he plays and still they are just as good if not better than the last. I also really like that he worked his way up to the top - to be where he is now. I remember watching him in Shameless and just having this feeling that he would go on to do something great. He just always had this potential about him, despite playing such a skank (heh) he still was really good looking.

Of course it also really helps that he is so good looking. He has a very charming face, it's such a shame he's taken lol. But I do think it's pretty sweet that he is actually with his Shameless co-star. I think he is one of those faces that just kind of jumps out at you and sticks in your mind - I remember watching him in Bright Young Things years ago heh. I also really liked him in Starter for Ten and might just have to put up with watching Atonement sometime to see him in that!

Ahhh in general...I think I have to say I love him too ^_^
