Born and Bred
At first glance this show seems to be a lot like Heartbeat or The Royal. I suppose the main focus could be considered as the local hospital where originally Arthur (James Bolam) and his son Tom (Michael French) worked but in reality the whole village is the setting and it always felt to me much more like an ensemble piece rather than a bunch of main and supporting characters like Heartbeat and The Royal have.
The BBC were stupid idiots and didn't renew it when it's four season contract expired which was a real shame because it left on a cliffhanger and it was an awesome show. Anyway, anybody else a fan?
